My path to healing wasn’t a straight line – it was a battle that began after years of pushing my body to its limits. As a Soldier, I was trained to push through pain, to keep going no matter what. But eventually, my body started sending signals I couldn’t ignore.
The toll of service left me with multiple traumatic brain injuries that clouded my thinking and affected every aspect of my life. Brain fog became my constant companion, while PTSD and insomnia turned my nights into endless battles. My body was a roadmap of injuries – dislocated shoulders with tears, a thoracic spine that seemed to age decades beyond its years, and multiple surgeries on my knees and wrists. High cholesterol and severe acid reflux added to the daily struggle.
Like many veterans, I initially turned to traditional medicine. The answer seemed to always be another prescription, another medication to mask the symptoms. But these band-aid solutions weren’t fixing the underlying problems – sometimes they even made things worse. I knew there had to be a better way.
That’s when I began my deep dive into biohacking and alternative healing approaches. This wasn’t just about getting better; it was about understanding why and how our bodies heal. I became my own first case study, meticulously documenting what worked and what didn’t. The transformation wasn’t overnight, but the results were undeniable. My before-and-after photos tell only part of the story – the real change was in how I felt, how I thought, and how I moved through the world.
